Our company is located in midst of the Southern Wine-route in the famous
Palatinate region of Germany, surrounded by huge vines and romantic hills.
Here, our team of ten people extracts the very best from the grape: the
skins, stalks and seeds.The company Timrott Bioprodukte GmbH was founded in autumn 1999 by the Timrott family. Kurt Timrott, company founder and agricultural engineer with many years of experience in vegetable production and recycling of organic waste products, became the driving force after coming across scientific research from Vienna University explaining the special properties of grape marc as an interesting raw material from which high-energy products can be derived.
Using his deep understanding of the field, Kurt Timrott modified and patented the production process for a natural fertiliser - with overwhelming success. The company plant is spread over some 20,000m² and is the only Tresterhumus processing facility in Germany with a yearly capacity of 30,000t!
